NICC Weekly Rosary

Easter Triduum and the Launch of Our Weekly Rosary

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your presence last Sunday as we celebrated our Igbo Mass, which beautifully concluded our annual retreat. It was truly a time of spiritual renewal and healing. I also sincerely thank you for your generous support of the NICC youth fundraising efforts. May God abundantly bless you and your families.

Today, the Church begins the sacred celebration of the Easter Triduum – the summit of the Liturgical Year, which extends from the evening of Holy Thursday to the evening of Easter Sunday. Though these are three days in time, they are celebrated as one continuous liturgical event, unfolding the unity of Christ’s Paschal Mystery. This single, profound celebration marks the end of the Lenten season and leads us into the Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord at the Easter Vigil. I warmly encourage each of you to participate actively in the liturgical services of the Triduum – the Mass of the Lord’s Supper, the Good Friday Celebration of the Lord’s Passion, and the Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord – at your local parish church. May our full and prayerful participation deepen our faith in Christ Jesus and draw us closer to the grace of salvation.

As mentioned last Sunday, our faith community will begin a weekly Rosary every Tuesday at 8:00 PM (Eastern Time). I invite you and your families to join us in prayer via Zoom. The login details are provided below:

The purpose of this weekly Rosary is to pray for our families especially for the sick, and to help our children grow in understanding the importance of prayer in their lives. We have chosen this time intentionally so that as many people as possible can participate, even amidst busy schedules. I look forward to praying with all of you every Tuesday evening.

Wishing you and your families a grace-filled Triduum and a joyful Easter.

In Christ,
Fr. Hamilton – NICC Chaplain
